The Hustle Royale by Marcus John Henry Brown

Welcome to My Hustleverse

I’ve often been asked if I would consider publishing the texts for The Hustle Royale or  Hustletology. Some audience members would like to spend time with the texts. Both performances were written as long-form poems, so I thought it would be easy. It wasn’t. But I’ve found a way, and I’m delighted to announce that I’ve finally curated not only Hustletology and The Hustle Royale but that I’ve also rewritten large parts of A Wicked Pack Of Cards into a book that I’m calling The Hustleverse.

The world of Joseph Blasphemous

The World Of Jospeh Blaphemous

The Hustleverse is a long-form poem in three parts,The Hustle Royale, an all-new version of A Wicked Pack Of Cardsand Hustletology. These three poems now sit in the correct order giving all three more context.

It’s a book full of business spells, bitcoins, cryptocurrencies, online gaming, consultants and the snake oil world of NFT business. It’s about the rat race, the hamster wheel, the hunt for the new, the loss of relevance, the games we play, the roles we play, the myth of business and the business of myths.

It’s about being lost. It’s about trying to be the “winner-winner, chicken dinner”: the last person standing at the end of the game as the battle royale gas closes in on you and you realise that you are entirely alone in your triumph. Ultimately it’s a book about our deteriorating mental health in an increasingly confusing world.

A Wicked Pack Of Cards reloaded.

This journey started back in November 2019 with A Wicked Pack Of Cards, and these cards are the heartbeat of The Hustleverse. I’ve rewritten many of them and included several new cards that didn’t feature in the original poem.

Available in paperback and ebook.
